I came away from your ranch last weekend completely relaxed and rejuvenated...The food was incredible, the surroundings beautiful and my friends and I enjoyed the other guys.
-Bryan

Another ranch weekend success! We've been twice now, and both times were very different and very enjoyable. Labor day was a plethora of men...October was intimate and sensual.
-Giorgio and Harry

We were both inspired by meeting you as well and experiencing first-hand the little paradise you've got up there in the Pope Valley. We can't wait to come back.
-Pete

Ranch Weekend, [voted] one of the best gay camping experiences. The Ranch Weekend offers a chance for gay and bisexual men to gather together on a grassy meadow that fronts a stream-fed swimming pond. If you’re a gay man into camping, looking for a fun weekend enjoying nature, good food and congenial company, I have to recommend Ranch Weekend.

Welcome:

Please join us for Ranch Weekend on an historic 85-acre ranch in the California wine country for a relaxing weekend of camping, good food, sunning, swimming, soaking, hiking, biking, campfires, massage...and the camaraderie of your fellow campers--no cooking! The Ranch is located approximately eighty miles northeast of San Francisco in Napa County, 25 minutes from St. Helena. Take a short drive and disconnect!

Nestled in Pope Valley, an eastern branch of Napa Valley, the Ranch has been restored as a private residence, artist studios & residences, and a camping retreat. The property includes the original ranch house, a creek side campground, tent cabins, a large lawn area for sunbathing (clothing optional), and a creek fed swimming hole. The Ranch also has an extensive organic vegetable and flower garden, orchard, lots of fresh mountain air, and the bright sunshine of the Napa Valley summer.

The weekend is open to all group-oriented, friendly, outdoor-loving, gay (and bisexual) men--both singles and couples. Your host, Richard Carter, is an experienced chef (worked with Sally Schmitt at the world renowned French Laundry Restaurant in Yountville, California), and will be preparing/providing all the meals.

If you like to mix recreation with your relaxation, the Las Posadas State Forest is 10 minutes away with hiking and biking trails galore. Ink Grade Road, on which the Ranch is located, is a popular Napa County biking hill. And wineries, spas, shopping, and arts are located in nearby St Helena, surrounding Pope Valley, and the whole Napa Valley. Or just a walk across the Ranch can work up your appetite for the next meal.

Guests typically work on their tans creekside and cool off in the swimming hole; start up board, card, or lawn games (they bring) in one of the picnic areas; read in the shade of mature trees, on the porch, or in a hammock; take off on a walk, hike, or bike outing; tour wineries or art galleries; get a massage on site; soak in the hot tub. Dusk usually finds a gathering for conversation and drinks and appetizers brought by guests to share.

In short, it's catered camping, where you can relax, meet new friends and catch up with old ones...and do as much or as little as you like.
